Silsiilay est un film qui utilise une trame connue et déjà utilisée au cinéma : l’histoire de trois couples à un moment critique de leur vie. Ou plutôt de trois femmes au sein d’un triangle amoureux.

Donc trois couples :

Le premier, dans l’ordre d’apparition, c’est celui formé par Zia (Bohmika Chawla) et Neel (Rahul Bose) avec Piya (Natassha) en perturbatrice. Zia et Neel se sont séparés sur un coup de tête. Lui s’est mis avec Piya mais n’a pas pu rompre la complicité profonde qui le lie à Zia.

Le second couple, c’est Anushka (Riya Sen) et Tarun (Jimmy Shergill) avec Nikhil (Ashmit Patel) entre les deux. Anushka aime (plus ou moins) Nikhil. Lui ne l’aime pas, ou plutôt il aimerait bien passer un bon moment avec elle. Tarun est fou d’elle.

Quant au troisième couple c’est Rehana (Tabu) et Anwar (Kay Kay Menon) et la tentation c’est Preeti (Celina Jaitley). Anwar a épousé en secondes noces Rehana mais il le regrette car il est amoureux de Preeti.

Silsiilay is a film which uses a well-known plot already used in cinema: the story of three couples at a critical moment in their lives. Or rather three women within a love triangle. So three couples: The first, in order of appearance, is that formed by Zia (Bohmika Chawla) and Neel (Rahul Bose) with Piya (Natassha) as a disruptor. Zia and Neel broke up on a whim. He got together with Piya but was unable to break the deep bond that binds him to Zia. The second couple is Anushka (Riya Sen) and Tarun (Jimmy Shergill) with Nikhil (Ashmit Patel) in between. Anushka loves (more or less) Nikhil. He doesn't like her, or rather he would like to have a good time with her. Tarun is crazy about her. As for the third couple it is Rehana (Tabu) and Anwar (Kay Kay Menon) and the temptation is Preeti (Celina Jaitley). Anwar married Rehana for the second time but he regrets it because he is in love with Preeti.
